HAZRAT NOORANI BABA (REHMATULLAH ALAIHI)
BY Miss hafsa Ibrarahim bint maulana Iqbal qadri, Bolton & maulana alhaj salim ghisa qadri preston. Reference :: Sirat ul muslimin (Manchester U.K)

It is with great sorrow that we mourn the lost of great Vali of Allah, sayeed Hazrat Noorani baba Qadri (rehmatullah alaihi) passed on 15th January 2001 (20 Shawwal, 1421) in his home town petlad in Gujarat.

Before he arrival in the U.K., he was very active in advising Muslim in India on the correct sunni path and beliefs. He was an inspiration to all sunni especially in the U.K. he came to U.K. in 1972 after many of his Mureeds requested him to do so for sake for sunni'ism. In U.K. he spent majority of his time in Bolton & Blackburn.

On arrival in Britain, he continued his work for the cause of ahle sunnat wal jamaat he advised people to call scholars to propagate sunni'ism over here and most earlier scholars came to U.K. at his insistence.

Sayeed Noorani baba(rehmatullah alaihi) was a direct descendant of the "Holy Prophet (sallallaho alaihi wasallam)". His linage reached the Great "Sheikh Abdul Qadir jilani (rahmatullah alaihi)" and then to the Holy Prophet. His father and Grandfather, Sayeed Haider Ali and Sayeed Amir ali (rahmatullah ta'ala alaihi anhum ajmain) were also renowned Valis of Allah.

Sayeed Noorani baba was a given Ijazat from many different silsila such as Qadri, Chisty, Ashrafi, Razvi and in 1998 from the sayed family of mahrehra sharif where Iman Ahle-sunnat gained his bayt. Although bestowed with these and many other recognitions, Sayeed Noorani baba was a simple & pious person. He respected all who went to see him. He never gathered any wealth for his world. If any person with a religious cause went to see him, he was the first to dip his hand into his pocket and give in the path of Allah.

He had many mureeds in the U.K. and abroad but he newer asked anyone to become his mureed. In fact when people used to come to him for bayt, Out of his humbleness and piety, he guided them to others whom he felt were better than him.

Sayeed noorani baba (rehmatullah alaihi) was a devout and orthodox sunni and would not associate with people from misguide sects. He was always kind to those who respected the holy Prophet (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) and harsh with people who had links with those who were disrespectful to the prophet of Allah. It is servants like Noorani Baba (rehmatullah alaihi) that the Holy Prophet (Sallallho aaihi wasallam) has said will be set on the mimbar of Noor on the day of judgement as they make friends for the sake of Allah and his Rasool and make enemies for the sake of Allah and His Rasool. Sayeed Noorani Baba(Rahmatullah alaihi). Had a very large and comprehensive selection of important books. Many scholars went to him when they needed his guidance or look up kitabs for reference.

Countless people benefited from Nooran baba's (Rahmatullah alaihi) Spiritual knowledge. People from around the world sought his assistance in Dua and Taweez. He never refused anyone and more importantly never charged anyone for his services. In fact he learned how to drive so that he could go to people's houses to assist them. Many times, he traveled for hours at own cost to help people. This was out of his sheer humbleness and eagerness to help people.

In his later he was involved in an incident whereby one his colleagues did not take his advise and made an error in treatment whereby the patient passed away. Sayeed Noorani Baba (Rahmatullah alaihi) was extremely upset by this and a court case found him comprising to cause injury. This was due to the non-Muslims inability in understanding the philosophy behind the spiritual treatment. He was sentenced to a few years imprisonment. This sentence was a very great shock to all those and could not understand how such thing happen to such a gentle and humble person; and prayed for him. With great patience and tranquility, he continued to gain virtue from Allah the almighty. People thought the imprisonment was unjust and unfair. To Noorani Baba(Rahmatullah alaihi). It was the sunnat and path of Hazrat Imam-e-Azam Abu Hanifa and Hazrat Imam Ahmed Ibn-e-Hambal(May Allah Send Mercy upon them).

In recent years, the conflict amongst the Sunnis hurt him very much and made him very sad. His cause was to fight the enemies of the prophet (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) and not those who were of correct aqida. However, he always fought for the truth and showed his willingness by giving his support. But he never rejected or insulted those who opposed him. His strivings in the path of religion and his eagerness to help people, however, did have effect on him. Both mental and physical. This made him weak and was admitted to hospital on many occasions. He still, however, never forgot his lord and was always in his remembrance. When he praise of the Holy Prophet (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) was recited in a Naat, he always cried and his face shone as if the midday sun shone on his face. To him the love of Prophet Mohammed (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) was the cause and reason for his life.

He performed many Hajj and Umrah and finally decided to go on Umrah with all his family and visit the two most holy places on earth. After spending Ramadhan on the doorstep of Allah's most beloved, he went to India to his home town with all his family. Most of his Mureeds visited him. A week later he passed away on the way of hospital. On the way, he was reciting salat-o salaam all the time. As he passed the cemetery where his parents and family rest, he said, "Nara-e Takbeer, Nara-e Risalat" and took his last breath. His Soul then went to meet his lord and Creator. About 25,000 people attended his Namaaz-e-Janazah.

He leaves behind a humble and pious wife - mother to all his Mureeds, a son and a daughter and their children, and a lot of friends and Mureeds. May Allah give them Patience and may Allah keep the "Faiz of Noorani Baba" (Rahmatullah alaihi) following on them.

To all sunni who knew him, he was of great source of spiritual beneficence and a true servant of Allah and his mankind.

May Allah Shower His mercy upon His beloved slave and May Allah grant him paradise of the highest level. He always wanted to meet his beloved Aqaa, Muhammad Mustufa (sallallaho alaihi wasallam. Now he has. Now he has.

His presence graced every function he attended. His face would shine out and bring Noor on the stage Make one Remember Allah. This 'Noor' will be sadly missed.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilahi raji'oon.
