of the Dargah: Dargah-e-Sahabi-e-Rasool Sal-lal-lahu Alaihi wa Sallam, Syedina,
Hazrath Thameem-ul-Ansari (Rizwan Allahi Tha'alahi Alaihim Ajmaeen),
Kovalam Shareef. City
/ Town / Taluk: Kovalam Shareef. District: Kanjipuram District
State: India. The
most famous Dargah Shareef of Sahabi-e-Rasool Sallalahu Alaihi wa Sallam which
attracts the largest number of people in the entire India is of "Syedina,
Hazrath Thameem-ul-Ansari (Rizwan Allahi Tha'alahi Alaihim Ajmaeen), also called
as Hazrath Thameem Ansari (Rizwan Allahi Tha'alahi Alaihim Ajmaeen). The Dargah
is located in Kovalam shareef, near Mamallapuram, about 30 km from Chennai. Syedina,
Hazrat Thameemul Ansari (Rizwan Allahi Tha'alahi Alaihim Ajmaeen) was born in
Al-Madina Al-Munawara and joined in Islam in Al Makkah Al Mukarrama before the
Hijrath of Huzoor-e-Kareem Sallalahu Alaihi wa Sallam. He
belonged to the tribe of Al-Kajraj and his father was Yu-Aar. He is one among
313 Sahabas who participated in Jank-e-Badr (Badr War). He stayed in the world
of Jinns (A'lam-ul-Jinn) to teach Jinns about Islam for five years, which was
commanded by Huzoor-e-Kareem Sallalahu Alaihi wa Sallam. Before his visit to A'lam-ul-Jinn,
he was gifted with a holy ring which was bearing "Asma-ul-Zalzalooth"
by Huzoor-e-Kareem Sallalahu Alaihi wa Sallam and was said that it would be on
his holy finger till the day of Qayamath, when he meets Huzoor-e-Kareem Sallalahu
Alaihi wa Sallam in Mahshar Maidhan. He visited Asia continent during the time
of Khilafath of Ameer-ul-M'umineen, Hazrath Umar Farook (Rizwan Allahi Tha'alahi
Alaihim Ajmaeen). The kingdom of Sindh was under the holy feet of Hazrat Thameemul
Ansari (Rizwan Allahi Tha'alahi Alaihim Ajmaeen) for 18 years. Before
his Pardha (Wisal), he had instructed his disciples to cast his Janazah Mubarak
(remains) into the sea after his death. After the last instructions from Syedina,
Hazrath Thameem-ul-Ansari (Rizwan Allahi Tha'alahi Alaihim Ajmaeen) as stated
above, his companions or disciples did the same and it is said that the Janazah
Mubarak was in the sea for about 5 years and it was guarded by the big fishes
during this time. Eventually, one big fish brought the Janazah Mubarak nearer
to sea shore of Kovalam.
On the other hand, according to some accounts, the Nawab of Wallajah, Nawab Muhammed
Saadatullah Khan, had a dream in which Hazrat Syedina Thameemul Ansari (Rizwan
Allahi Tha'alahi Alaihim Ajmaeen) requested him to proceed to Kovalam, where he
would find the latter's Janazah Mubarak on Kovalam beach, and asked him to bury
it there. When the Nawab reached the beach, he found the Janazah Mubarak and when
he opened the same, he found the sacred body fresh along with some documents,
which proved that he was Sahabi-e-Rasool Sallalahu Alaihi wa Sallam.
The
Nooraniyyath reflected from the sacred face of Hazrat Syedina Thameemul Ansari
(Rizwan Allahi Tha'alahi Alaihim Ajmaeen) touched the hearts of the all who participated
in the funeral cermony. The Nawab duly buried the sacred body of this great Sahabi-e-Rasool
Sallalahu Alaihi wa Sallam and built the Dargah Shareef at the site. The
Dargah shareef has an area of 3 acres. The first Thursday after the first full
moon of each month is a day of devotion. Though the Dargah is open from 5.00 a.m.
to 10.00 p.m., some devotees spend the night there. Hazrat Syedina Thameemul Ansari
(Rizwan Allahi Tha'alahi Alaihim Ajmaeen) Dargah is regarded as very powerful
and people go to the Dargah to request his intercession with ALLAHU Jalla Jalaluhu
Tha'ala on their behalf. The
Dargah Shareef of Syedina Hazrath Thameem-ul-Ansari (Rizwan Allahi Tha'alahi Alaihim
Ajmaeen) is a sacred place which has solved the problems of large number of people
from all walks of life. The Dargah Shareef is a highly Spritual Markaz of Roohaniyats,
Nooraniyath, Rahmaths and Barkats of Allah Shanahu Thaalah which one can come
to know only if they visit the Dargah Shareef and in the entire journey one can
notice great rahmats and barkats. Millions of Ashiqueens of Hazrat Rasool-e-kareem

The
Zahura of Syedina, Hazrath Thameem-ul-Ansari (Rizwan Allahi Tha'alahi Alaihim
Ajmaeen) is very immense and Kashf-o-Karamats and Taskara are realised in all
the states here. The
popularity of this Sahaba is more than the other Sahabas in India and the Faizan
is more on common people and all are being bestowed with great karam and Dhuas
from this great darbar of Sahabi-e-Rasool Sallalahu Alaihi wa Sallam, Hazrath
Thameem-ul-Ansari (Rizwan Allahi Tha'alahi Alaihim Ajmaeen). This is the Makham
where Sandal/Urs shareef is celebrated in a very grand manner, which happens nowhere
in the world for any Sahaba. Ashiqane-Rasool-e-kareem Sallalahu Alaihi wo salam
and Ashiqan-e-Auliya attend the Sandhal/Urs shareef in large number from different
states of India.

second famous Dargah Shareef of Sahabi-e-Rasool Sallalahu Alaihi wa Sallam which
attracts the second largest number of people in the entire India is of "Syedina,

Sandhal/Urs
Shareef of Syedina, Hazrat Malik bin Dinar (Rizwan Allahi Tha'alahi Alaihim Ajmaeen)
is also celebrated with great respect and love in a very majestic manner. It is
great to see that people commemorate it with great love and respect for our Sahabas.
Even many people do not know the importance of this Sahaba but they can realise
a wide spread network and greatness of this Sahaba only when they visit and spend
their time in Kasargod shareef. It is observed that there is some great spiritual
connection between Kasargod shareef and the Ullal Dargah of Syedina Hazrath Shareef-ul-Madni
(Qaddus Allahu Sirrahul Azeez) who is also a Thabi'een, came from Al-Madina Al-Munawara
through Arbian sea. The Taskara of Kasargod shareef is heard even in Ullal shareef
with great respect and love. Most of the people who go to Kasargod shareef also
visit Ullal shareef and perform ziyarath. Both these places are great centres
(Markaz) of Islamic education and studies.

The third famous Dargah Shareef of Sahabi-e-Rasool Sallalahu Alaihi wa Sallam
which attracts a huge number of people in India is of "Syedina, Hazrath Ukkasha
(Rizwan Allahi Tha'alahi Alaihim Ajmaeen) who has kissed the Mohre-Nabuwat of
Shafeeh-ul-Mudhnibeen, Hazrat Mohammed Mustafa Sallalahu Alaihi wa Sallam and
the Dargah Shareef is in Parangipettai, historically called Porto Novo, is a panchayat
town in Cuddalore district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Parangipettai
is situated on the north bank of the mouth of the Vellar river at a distance of
30-km from Cuddalore. It has a glorious historical background. It is an important
pilgrimage centre for Muslims. Parangipettai is also well known for its unique
and divesified Muslim population. It is ironic that Parangipettai still remains
as a town in Tamilnadu, as it has seen arrival of wealth and different people
even before the dawn of globalisation. Muslims in Parangipettai have an unique
origin. Muslims in Parangipettai can trace their origin to several destinations,
particularly the Middle East and North India. There are also different Muslim
groups in Parangipettai, particularly the Maraicars and Sahibs That's
the reason one can notice a great Nooraniyath and Rahmaths in Tamilnadu and Kerala
states because of the presence of aforementioned Sahabas of Rasool-e-Kareem Sallalahu
Alaihi wa Sallam. All
the Ashiqane-Rasool-e-kareem Sallalahu Alaihi wo salam and Ashiqan-e-Auliya who
have visited Kovalam Dargah shareef from different states of India have appreciated
and it is observed that their hearts and souls have been bestowed by Roohani Faiz.
Needless to say, it applies to all Dargah shareef of Sahaba-e-Rasool Allah Sallalahu
alaihi wo salam which are mentioned above. One can realise all that is aforementioned
only if he/she visits and spends some days in these great Darbars. To
